We have been a bit hectic over the last couple of weeks, with me being away at the sales at Doncaster and Freddy being away riding in France.
I did manage to buy a horse at Doncaster which had made the trip from Lambourn having been in training with Jamie Snowden, only to be put on a lorry back to Lambourn to join me! He will have a holiday before targeting staying chases in the winter, His name is ALANJOU, he is a 5yo French bred horse.
Freddy has been riding out of his skin with a double in Jersey, a cross country race win at Le Lion D'Angers at 10-1, beaten a nose in France's version of the foxhunters at Auteuil at 40-1 and a winner in a chase at Compiegne at 14-1, long may it continue!
suffered a little by me rushing him back to the racecourse after his Towcester 3rd and was pulled up before the last at Southwell, he has now been given a handicap mark of 100 which should give him a chance when handicapping in the Autumn after a break.
Is going well but there is a shortage of races for her for about another 4 weeks, this is a shame but I want to wait for the right race as I think running her over the wrong distance wont benefit her, and neither would a 5 hour trip to the races to somewhere like Hexham. the race I have in mind is a 2m maiden hurdle at Worcester
is well and looking forward to a trip to Fontwell in about 3 weeks time over hurdles
Play The Blues
Is doing everything nicely and we look forward to going to Lingfield with her on Friday for another 1m 0-60 handicap
Is bouncing at home and is entered for a 5f 0-60 race at Lingfield on Friday, I would probably prefer 6f for him but there is a shortage of races so we have to start the season off somewhere as he is ready to run.
